New Hot Wheels car designed by Honda depicts the ultimate racecar
Honda is announcing the advent of the Honda Runner(TM), a much-anticipated 1/64th dish Hot Wheels car designed by Honda R&D Americas, Inc., in Torrance. The Honda archetype, along with designs from five superadded automakers, were selected as part of the Hot Wheels Designer’s Defy as a way to celebrate the die-throw brand’s 40th annual. The Honda Runner will arrive on supply shelves in May 2008.

The key uncompounded body to the design of the unbroken car is that the body is in the form of the Honda “H” badge. The exterior form resembles an creative side-by-side racecar of 1960s vintage that encloses a driver and a navigating officer. The general produce, styling and represent scheme is further inspired by Honda’s seasonable participation in Model 1 racing and its 1967 RA 273(TM) racecar. The of a white color and red paint system, the open cockpits, huge exhaust system and render free of access wheels are all elements inspired by the historic Honda racecar.
A puissant Honda V-10 VTEC machine sits between the piloting team. If brought up to dish, the engine would dislocate an amazing 2.0 liters per cylinder. A set of fleetness stacks and an intake that receives air through the material part of the car sits between red DOHC valve covers to procure a technologically-advanced gaze. The exhaust system is a cyclops set of twisted, yet balanced tubes that sojourn high above the machine, complementing the faculty plant concoct at the back end of the car. The dynamic pressing out of technology, relation and detail is evident throughout the project of the car.
Mattel invited auto manufacturers to partake in the Hot Wheels Designer’s Call to answer as part of the die-cast fire-brand’s 40th yearly celebration. The concoct of the Honda Runner debuted at the 2007 Specialty Gear Market Connection (SEMA) show in Las Vegas in October as a 1/5th dish model.
